How will the wearable system work?
For patients living with uncontrolled hypertension, the SMARTSHAPE wearable offers easy access to real-time blood pressure readings. The system is prescribed by a clinician, and patient-managed with clinical oversight.
The wearable system will provide continuous and accurate readings for a broad range of clinical applications,
in the following steps:
The wearable is placed on the wrist, with its integrated sensor positioned over the artery.
The sensor is tightly secured to the surface of the skin, close to the artery to pick up reliable, accurate readings. The wearable system is patient-managed with clinical oversight.
The device will read the blood pressure data and send it to the SMARTSHAPE app.
Through the SMARTSHAPE app, data are available for 24/7 monitoring, trend analysis, and seamless sharing to facilitate data-driven clinical decision-making.
Patients can access their blood pressure data through the patient app to support self-management and lifestyle changes that may improve outcomes. Where needed, clinicians can review patient blood pressure data via the clinician dashboard to monitor alerts and support effective treatment.
